You've Got To Be Kidding - GRU/The City Paid For This?

Nice picture of the GRU Operations Center? Look closely to see the tree that is cut in half. 

Yesterday, two Asplundh Tree Expert Co. trucks and crews "pruned" this tree outside the GRU Operations Center on SE 5th Avenue. According to the Asplundh website, they provide "environmentally sustainable vegetation management". You've got to be kidding! 

With all the qualified and professional Landscape Architects out of work, why would GRU/City of Gainesville - the taxpayers - pay for this butchering? GRU/City of Gainesville might  want to further scrutinize city vendor's quality of work especially in these budget conscious times.
