The University of Florida homecoming parade takes place noon Nov. 4, with many road closures and alternate routes.
Beginning Nov. 4, 2011, at 11 a.m. until the end of the parade, the following roads are closed:
Main Street from the south 200 block to the north 400 block.
University Avenue from the west 2000 block to the east 300 block.
13th Street from the south 300 block to the north 400 block.
The 2300 block of Southwest Second Avenue will also be closed.
Alternate routes for drivers include:
34th Street and Waldo Road for north and south, and either Southwest 16th Avenue or Northwest Eighth Avenue for those traveling east and west.
