"Homecoming weekend has arrived again in Gainesville, just in time to help lift the spirits of University of Florida football fans struggling with the current four-game losing streak.

The annual festivities begin this morning, with the Gator Gallop at 11:30 a.m. and the Homecoming Parade at noon. The forecast this morning calls for about a 30 percent chance of rain and lows in the low 50s, heating up to near 70 by the afternoon. Tonight is forecast to be cool and clear with a low of 45. For the Vanderbilt game Saturday, it'll be clear with a high near 70.

Besides the chill, change will be in the air for tonight's Gator Growl, as students, alumni, faculty and fans will notice a number of surprises, from the reintroduction of a musical act to the relocation of the stage to the east side of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium."
